WORKSHOP ON PRE-VALIDATION OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN AND THE MANUAL OF PROCEDURES OF THE VISSIN FOUNDATION

 

Launched on August 28, the process of developing the Strategic Plan and the Manual of administrative, financial and accounting management procedures for the VISSIN Foundation is going on. On Wednesday, October 07, 2020, the members of the Foundation’s governing bodies, as well as the volunteers and project beneficiaries were in a pre-validation session of said documents. Led by consultants Franz L. OKEY and Aboudou Walid AGRO, participants learnt about the content of each of the created documents .

Broken down into several axes and objectives, the Strategic Plan serves now as a compass to the Foundation’s actions in the medium term; this, to be more effective in our commitment alongside the vulnerable populations. It is broken down into four (04) strategic axes which consists of Institutionalizing, Motivating, Impacting and Shining.

Being the first strategic plan, it is created for a period of 05 years (2021-2025) during which the Foundation will strengthen its capacities to push back the borders of poverty, injustice and social inequalities for the restoration of dignity, human rights and peace in Benin.

In view of this vision, the efficient functioning of the Foundation is of paramount importance. To this end, the Procedures Manual was also presented to the participants. It is created with the aim of professionalizing the management and increasing the performance of the Foundation. Serving as a reference guide for the operation and implementation of the foundation’s internal monitoring and evaluation system, its use will establish a formal framework for the execution of administrative, financial and accounting operations.

This administrative, financial and accounting management tool complement the existing mechanisms, in particular the Articles of Association and the internal regulations of the foundation. It concerns :
– administrative management procedures;
– financial and accounting management procedures;
– personnel management procedures;
– project management procedures.

Very satisfied, the members of the Foundation’s management bodies did not miss out the occasion to make some amendments to improve the quality work done by the consultants. After this step, said documents will be submitted for validation by the General Assembly which constitutes the last step of the process.
